Your BeepXtra App, Updated: Payments, Notifications & More
The latest BeepXtra app update brings live transaction status, one-tap OTP codes, faster payment approvals, and a smoother overall experience.
A significant update to the BeepXtra mobile app is now rolling out on iOS and Android. Here's everything that's new.
Payments
Push Payment Approvals
When a cashier sends you a payment request, it now arrives as a full-screen prompt showing the merchant name, amount, and a live countdown timer. Tap Approve, enter your PIN, and the transaction confirms in seconds. You can also decline directly from the same screen.
Payment History at a Glance
Your three most recent transactions on the home screen now show a Cleared badge once confirmed on the blockchain, or a Pending indicator while the network processes them. Tap any transaction to see the full breakdown — outlet, date, BPC amount, cashback earned, and transaction reference.
Notifications
One-Tap OTP Codes
One-time codes sent to your device now come with a Copy Code button directly in the notification — no need to open the app. Tap it and the code is on your clipboard, ready to paste. If you do open the notification, the code is shown in full on screen with a copy button.
Smarter Alerts
The Alerts tab now refreshes automatically when you return to the app, so your unread count and badge are always current. The empty state has also been updated to make it clearer what kinds of alerts to expect.
Top Up
Cash Top-Up Made Easier
The Cash tab in Top Up now shows your card number formatted and ready to show the cashier — no need to dig through settings. Step-by-step instructions are displayed alongside it.
App Experience
New Loading Screen
The app now opens with an animated BeepXtra logo rather than a plain spinner — a small touch, but a much better first impression.
Transaction Detail View
Tapping any transaction in your history now opens a full detail panel showing every field: outlet, cashier, local amount, BPC earned, cashback, and the transaction ID for reference.
Store Map Improvements
Partner outlet distances are now shown in kilometres. The map uses a custom BeepXtra pin marker so outlets are easy to spot at a glance.
