Your BeepXtra App, Significantly Upgraded

The latest BeepXtra app update is one of the most substantial we've shipped. Across four areas — your card, security, top-up, and account control — the experience has been meaningfully improved. Here's everything that's changed and what it means for you day to day.

Virtual Card

A Card That Looks and Works the Part

Your BeepXtra virtual card has been completely redesigned. It now displays a fully branded card face — with your card number overlaid directly on the card, your current BPC balance shown at a glance, and a custom card design that reflects the BeepXtra identity. This isn't cosmetic. A card you can read, trust, and use confidently is a better card. The number display has also been fixed across all screen sizes — correct font sizing, no wrapping, no clipping.

Wallet Dashboard — No More Blank Screens

A long-standing issue where the wallet screen, card, or transaction list would intermittently appear blank has been resolved. The root cause was an API timeout with no retry logic — that's now fixed. If a request fails, the app retries silently. You should never see a blank balance screen again.

Security & Authentication

OTP Delivered Directly to Your Phone

When you need a one-time password — to confirm a payment, verify an action, or authenticate a session — it now arrives as a push notification on your phone. A single tap copies the code. No more switching to your SMS app, no more waiting for a text that's slow to arrive. The OTP modal in-app also lets you view and copy the code directly if you miss the notification. Fast, reliable, and secure.

Password Reset, Rebuilt

The password reset flow has been rebuilt end to end. It now completes cleanly and redirects you straight to the login screen on success — no dead ends, no broken redirects. If you've ever had trouble resetting your password in the past, that's now resolved.

Session Stability

A bug that caused site-wide logouts across unrelated sessions has been fixed. Your session now stays where it belongs — with you, until you choose to end it.

Topping Up with Bitcoin

Direct Links to Your Crypto Wallet

Loading your BeepXtra wallet with Bitcoin is now as simple as tapping a link. The app supports direct deep links to the most widely used Bitcoin wallets — Coinbase Wallet, Trust Wallet, and BlueWallet. Tap the link for your preferred wallet, the app opens automatically with the payment pre-filled using the BIP21 standard, you approve the transaction, and your BPC balance updates automatically when you return to BeepXtra. No copy-pasting addresses. No manual entry. No mistakes.

The top-up flow also now includes a live expiry countdown so you always know how long your session is valid. If it expires, a clean "Start Again" option is shown — no silent failures.

Settings

Full Account Control, One Screen

A new dedicated Settings screen brings together everything you need to manage your account in one place. From here you can toggle notification preferences on or off, change your PIN, update your password, and manage your account details. Previously these were scattered or unavailable — now they're where you'd expect them to be.

Version 1.0.2 — Now Live

Available on iOS and Android

All of the above ships in version 1.0.2. Transaction type badges (incoming/outgoing) now appear on your wallet dashboard so you can tell at a glance what each entry represents. The app loading animation has also been added — small detail, but it means the app always feels responsive from the moment you open it.
