18 Million Transactions, BeepClubs, and the Store Map
The Steroid 4.0 blockchain has now processed over 18 million real retail transactions since 2018. BeepClubs brings co-branded loyalty cards to sports clubs and communities. The in-app store map now loads outlets dynamically near you.
A milestone update — one that puts the scale of the BeepXtra network into perspective, introduces a new model for bringing entire communities onto the platform, and makes it easier than ever to find participating outlets wherever you are.
Milestone
18 Million Transactions on Steroid 4.0
The Steroid 4.0 blockchain has now processed over 18 million real retail transactions since its launch in 2018. Every one of those transactions was a real purchase, at a real merchant, by a real cardholder. Not test volume. Not simulated activity. Real spending, with real cashback earned, settled on-chain in real time.
Steroid 4.0 is a purpose-built, retail-grade blockchain capable of over 100,000 transactions per second. It has been running in production, processing live retail payments, for over eight years. The 18 million figure is the result of that — consistent, unglamorous infrastructure doing exactly what it was designed to do. The counter keeps moving. Every new merchant that goes live, every new club that joins, every new cardholder who shops at a participating outlet adds to it.
BeepClubs
Where Everyone's a Winner
BeepClubs is BeepXtra's community partnership model. A sports club, supporters association, or community organisation joins BeepXtra. Their members receive co-branded loyalty cards, designed to match the club's identity. Local merchants near the club benefit from increased footfall as card-carrying members shop with them and earn rewards. The club receives a share of transaction fees generated by its members. Members get cashback and discounts at participating outlets. Merchants get customers they didn't have to go looking for.
This is what BeepXtra calls top-down marketing — instead of acquiring cardholders one by one, an entire community comes on board together through an organisation they already trust and follow. The network effect is immediate and self-reinforcing.
Two club cards are already live: On The Banks of the Royal Blue Mersey and AS Finikas. More are in the pipeline. If you manage a club or community organisation and want to explore bringing BeepXtra to your members, get in touch with the team.
Achievements Badge Wall
BeepClubs now features a redesigned achievements page — a badge wall that tracks club milestones visually. Badges are greyed out until the corresponding milestone is reached, then light up in green when earned. A clear, motivating view of where your club stands and what's next — useful for administrators and engaging for members who want to see their club grow.
Member Invitations via CSV
Club administrators can now invite members in bulk by uploading a CSV file — no more adding members one by one. Referral links have also been updated to use short activation codes instead of raw user IDs, making them cleaner to share across social media and messaging platforms.
Store Map
Find Participating Outlets Near You
The in-app store map has been significantly improved. Outlets now load dynamically as you scroll — rather than waiting for a full list to load on open, nearby outlets appear as you explore the map. Tap any outlet pin to see the outlet's logo, full address, current discount offer, and a button that opens directions in your preferred maps app. For cardholders who are out and about and want to know where they can earn rewards nearby, the map is now the fastest way to find that answer.
